Umm Jamaal Was Once Michelle (working title) is a story about the renaissance of female power in Islam and the Western Sydney community of ultra-orthodox women at the centre of it.
LOGLINE: A documentary about the renaissance of female power in Islam, the utra-orthodox community of women fuelling it and the firebrand Aussie female convert who has risen through the ranks of Orthodox Islam to change the game for conservative Muslim women.
It is currently in development by Kylie Grey at Big Sista Films in association with production company TEN ALPHAS (Jess Milne and Nick Bolton).
