Australian Digital Health Agency award animation

 

THE CLIENT

The Australian Digital Health Agency has been tasked with improving health outcomes for Australians through the delivery of digital healthcare systems and the national digital health strategy for Australia.

The Agency is responsible for all national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation and clinical quality and safety. Their focus is on putting data and technology safely to work for patients, consumers and the healthcare professionals who look after them.

THE CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

The Australian Digital Health Agency commenced operations in July 2016 and immediately conducted extensive research into the state of Australian digital health.

There is currently no standard clinical terminology being used in healthcare, which has led to inconsistencies and miscommunication among healthcare providers. So the Agency developed the National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS) to resolve this issue.

The Australian Digital Health Agency was proud of their work, intending to nominate their work for an award that recognises technological innovations that have a positive impact on the community. The Agency asked TEN ALPHAS to create an animated video that best explained the benefits of the NCTS in an accessible and entertaining way.

We wrote a script, created a storyboard, then used animation to bring the story to life.

THE RESULT

The client was very pleased with the animations, particularly with the quick turnaround of the product.

Using the design language established in the animated infographic we had already created for the Agency, we were able to create a new, entertaining animation that clearly explained the benefits of the NCTS.
