Monkey Baa: Diary of a Wombat Trailer
Monkey Baa is Australia’s leading professional theatre company for young audiences, based in the Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre.
THE CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Millions of young people around the world have adored the multi award-winning picture book, Diary of a Wombat. Monkey Baa decided to bring this iconic work by Australian children’s authors, Jackie French and Bruce Whatley to the stage.
TEN ALPHAS was asked to create an engaging trailer that would promote the play on all platforms.
We filmed the dress rehearsals then worked with the actors and wombat puppet to ensure we captured the essence of the play from all angles. We wanted to make sure the trailer told a story in its own right, but also left the viewer wanting to see more of the wombat’s antics.
The client was thrilled with the result. The trailer made audiences fall in love with Mothball, the naughtiest wombat in Australia, and was a highly entertaining piece of content for Monkey Baa’s social media audience.
