Trendspot Event & App videos for Sitecore

 

THE CLIENT

Sitecore is a customer experience management company that provides web content management and multichannel marketing automation software.

CHALLENGE

Last September, Sitecore hosted an all day thought-leadership networking event “Sitecore Digital Trendspot 2014”, to launch the latest version of their software. In order to differentiate the event, Sitecore came up with some unique concepts.
The Trendspot App, Trendspotter, expanded on the traditional event App by allowing the delegates to create a persona before the event, thus becoming a member of a tribe and have something to talk about with the other delegates. These personas were Die Hard Clubber, Sports Bar, Trendy Bar Dweller, Arcade Gamer and Gamble. At the end of the day the networking event was split into five groups to reflect these 5 personas.
Another differentiator of the App is Live Notes. This enabled keynote speakers to send information they referred to during the presentations directly to the delegates’ phones for the delegates to view in real-time (“eg a white paper, case study, link to webpage, etc.)
The App also introduced an element of gamification to the event – the delegates had the option of playing a game Trendraider. Beacons were hidden around the event. On finding them, the delegates had to tap their phone on the beacon and answer a question to gain points. The top scoring delegates who found all the beacons were entered into a draw to win a prize at the end of the night.

SOLUTION

TEN ALPHAS were given a brief to cover the event. We came back with a superior offer, to create multiple outputs – premium value content to social media content. By filming these videos all during the one day, the average cost per video was significantly reduced.
The videos we supplied for Sitecore Digital Trendspot were: a Highlights video, an App video, numerous vox pops by delegates and sponsors and videos covering the Golden Moments of the sessions.
The Highlights and App videos comprised a hybrid of motion graphics and live motion, using graphics to illustrate the themes of the conference – the personas, the Live Notes, the gamification.

RESULTS

The videos TEN ALPHAS delivered to Sitecore were very well received. They could be used over multiple platforms, and over an extended amount of time.
